Decided to treat my son to Sonny's tonight. Waited 10 minutes before waitress took our drink order. She said they don't do the all-you-can-eat, everything is cooked in the morning and they sell until it's gone!?! 45 minutes later we decided to leave (before our food arrived). During the 1 hr, waitress never offered refill on our drinks. Nice looking restaurant, bad service.

Waited 30mins after online ordering estimated food to be ready there was only 1 other person waiting for to go food. My food finally came out it was cold and my tea had not one ice cube in it. Definitely disappointed and will not be returning.

Food was great....service was a bit slow though.

Sonny's BBQ was probably the best BBQ spots I ever been to. The food tasted amazing , the wait time was not to long and the price was great. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone who lives BBQ. The menu had a ton of options and at your seat they have 4 different types of BBQ sauce.

It was all you can eat pulled pork day and at 6pm. We ordered a whole hog sandwich, a pulled pork sandwich and a kids cheeseburger. 20 or so minutes go by and they bring out the kids meal and tell us that they are out of pulled pork and we would need to order something different. My wife tried to order the pulled chicken, but we were then informed they are also out of that, as well as the ribs. All of this after the waitress trying to sell us on the all you can eat pulled pork special of the day. Needless to say, my kid finished his food before our food ever came out, thus resulting in bad behavior and an overall unpleasant experience. I had been craving BBQ and had to beg to go, as my family doesn't really care for it, now it'll be even more difficult to return.Bummed.

Food was good and priced well. Definitely need more help. Lots of people waiting even tho there were lots of open tables.

This is an excellent Sonny's BBQ! I eat here about six times a year and have never been disappointed in the service or meal. The restaurant looks new.

Updated 6/21/20. Placed our order before 4:00 for 5:30 pick up. Arrived a little before 5:30 and waited till 6:45. The manager finally came out and informed my wife that they ran out of pulled pork. She was completely rude and unapologetic about running out of pork or making her wait an hour and 15 mjnutes. She said it would take an extra 30 minutes to issue a refund for the food that wasn't available. So we were expected to wait 1:45 for a partial refund and partial order. This is some of the worst customer service we have encountered. We will be contacting Sonny's Corporate about this. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SONNYS LOCATION

My husband and I were in the mood for bbq and based on previous experiences we chose Sonny’s. We were seated right away and order was taken as soon as we sat down by the manager. Hubby ordered the sliced pork and I ordered the pulled pork sandwich. Husband was asked what type of bbq sauce would he like on his pork, he asked for the original. Order finally arrived after 30 minutes (restaurant was not busy) and we were quite disappointed with our meal. No sauce on his sandwich and my order was ice cold (sandwich and beans). Informed our server of the issues and again after a long wait I finally got my meal (after hubby had finished his food). Server once again asked how the food was and I informed her of the issue of my husband’s food. She replied in a disgruntled tone that she was getting the Manager. It seemed that she had a problem with our comments and was blunt and dismissive. So, let’s just say that we won’t be returning.

Food was amazing! Worst part of the visit was trying to decide what to order, the whole menu sounded good

The service was good. Brisket was dry. Upon request for sauce that its cooked in, we were told they were out. If you don't have everything you need to make something, then please relay to the customers when they order.

I ordered the family meal and enjoyed it. The meal came with a decent amount of tasty meats. Baked beans were delicious and the garlic bread was perfect but our corn on the cob seemed a little old. I'm giving 4🌟 because the food was great but the 15 minute wait in curbside parking for a preordered meal was a pain.

See picture from the family feast... take out... Called to let them know and was told it was 'just left over from lunch'... I don't think so... They did nothing or offer to make up for it.

Sonny's has definitely improved. Their dinning area is very clean, staff is prompt and friendly. Salad bar has many off great options including pasta salad, broccoli salad and tuna salad. The ribs are very tender and pulled pork was very moist and flavorful

The wife and I love the redneck egg rolls.service was fast and Never asked for a refill they were right on top of it.

I’ve eaten at sonny’s 100 times since 1975 in Gainesville. Sonny was from there and I got to know the company well. They are required to use top of the line beef, chicken and pork the dont precook the meat or soak it in brine etc. it is slow cooked 100% with oak. I’m not sure why others would give it less than a 5 unless they like a different style of bbq.

Great taste awesome BBQ sauce selection would have given five stars if the prices were a little cheaper

Food always FAB and BBQ sauce mildest on we Elders...gotta luv it!

We have eaten here a lot over the years. Sometimes it's been great, sometimes not good.Currently the food has been better, we stopped coming here for a year due to food quality... cool or just warm food, sometimes it was like yesterday leftovers. The biggest issue now is its always super cool in the restaurant, many people go get jackets.The other thing is the lack of someone greeting and seating you, sometimes it's several minutes before someone acknowledges your there.There's no urgency in seating the customers.

We arrived at this restaurant for dinner. This place was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was a winning. The staff members were very polite and we had an excellent feeling. The food was just great. We had a great time and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Warmly recommended.

Very delicious bbq. The St Louis style ribs were outstanding! Service was a tad slow, but overall it was a positive dining experience.

Avoid the drive through! I sat at the drive through for 10 minutes without being able to place my order.The food is ok but not worth the hassle if you’re not dinning there

I usually love Sonny's BBQ. I've tried this location twice. The ribs and beef brisket are too burnt on the outside. That makes more waste for me since I don't like the burnt taste. I cut that part away. The chicken is good with a great smoked flavor.

I have never, until yesterday, received a bad meal at Sonny’s. Yesterday I ordered a baby back dinner for pick up.$17 and change and $3 tip. For $20.00 I received a piece of corn on the cob that tasted like it had been sitting in water for days. No flavor left in it. To top that off, the ribs we cooked so over done, they were terrible. Have never been more disappointed Shame on you for serving such bad take out. Had I eaten in, you know I would have returned it to the kitchen.

Terrible service. Had a group order for work fried pickles were not fresh. Did not come with side of ranch as advertised on the website. My co worker ordered a well done steakburger it was actually cooked medium rare. Now she has nothing to eat for lunch. No plasticware or straws. The manager didn't sound confident in providing a refund. We will never go back to this location. Terrible terrible service. Not worth the money or the time.

Very disappointed. I dined here many times before and always had good service but this time was regretful. I come in, took a few minutes to be seated, no big deal. Then I got seated at my table and waited for the server. And waited... And waited. At least 29 minutes went by (not even an exaggeration) and nobody still came. It wasn't until I got up to find the hostess at the front to ask her where my server was, then somebody finally came. I shouldn't have to get up and find my own server. I can understand if it's super busy and you can't get to me right away, but to totally walk back and forth without even acknowledging that you'll get to them as soon as you can is completely inexcusable.

What can I say! Ms. Holly made the whole experience worth while will be back because of her alone she was one of the best servers I’ve had in a very very very long time! So sweet and cheerful and on her A game ! Thank you so much holly !

With unlimited menu the food was excellent the service was wonderful everybody was practicing COVID-19 safety measures

My husband and I just ate here. Food was great. Waitress was horrible. Has soon has she gave us our food not even 5 min she handed us our check and said i will take when ready. We had not even took a bit out of our food. Little rude to me.. And my husband was not even done eating and she came back to the table and pick up the bill and said to us are u ready to pay this not.. Very unprofessional. Not happy at all..

There's a few pits in town but Sonny's has been a staple for years. And for good reason. There's no extreme flavors (unless you add some hot sauce), just good old smokey tender goodness. Plus they just redid the whole location inside and out. Check it out if you haven't been in a while.

Was not terrible like others have posted. Now the dry rub spice on ribs was not inedible, but it also needs to change not sure exactly what it is other than not tasty bbq. The chicken was seasoned well but overcooked. Brisket was the real star with the mac and cheese. Overall it is OK bbq, but if the want to be outstanding there is certainly room to elevate everything. Service was outstanding...thanks to Jamie!!!

Sonny’s did the food for our rehearsal dinner for our wedding. Barb did an excellent job and she was so sweet in delivering and setting up our food. The food was tremendous and our Chicagoan guests got an excellent example of southern barbecue. Thanks so much for your hard work!

Was a Big Deal Meal, But a little bit short on the beef, the waitress was excellent.

Great barbeque place, very nice atmosphere and good food. Choice of various Carolina style BBQ sauces. Helpful and friendly staff. If you like a good barbecue, ribs, pulled pork, brisket, turkey, chicken and more, you will a stop at Sonny's.

I placed an online order on father’s day and I went to pick up all orders were running at least 1 hour late. The app should provide more accurate pick up time. Staff was not cooperative and offered no apology. Waiting on my car with 2 kids on the back seat for 1hs and 15 min was completely unacceptable AND the food was cold!!!! Despite being a long-time customer, I will not return to this location.

Dont get the unlimited option, the waiters dont come to ur tables often enough to make this worth it.

Food was delicious and plentiful as usual. I had not been to the 64 & 75 location before but was not let down. Service was good! It is too cool in there for my liking but I can't reduce a star for personal preference on the air. Will return with a sweater!

Upon entering the establishment, we stood there what seemed like forever. As the workers continue to look at us and pass by, not one person said welcome to Sonny's. How you doing, how's your day, glad you stopped by. Not a peep. After the hostess came back from sanitizing tables, she said welcome to Sonny's. From then on the service was awesome the food was beyond awesome and our waitress was absolutely fabulous at her job.

Overall not the best experience, usually we like Sonny's but this location was seriously lacking.The food was just ok, some of our items were slightly over cooked. They had only beer and wine, which was different than other locations we have visited. I think the mac and cheese possibly made me sick but can't say that with certainty.Mainly leaving feedback because it seemed to be poorly ran. The hostess seemed lost and honestly needed someone to come help her... with over 50 people in the lobby she was in full out panic mode and it was obvious. She kept frantically walking into the dining area to make sure she was rotating sections... repeatedly. It was all just a bit too much And...our server was nice enough, but not "friendly" by any means. We likely won't be visiting this location again, it didn't feel welcoming and definitely wasn't what we were expecting based on past experiences.

Just moved to Bradenton in Dec from up north then the pandemic hit. I was able to go to a few local BBQ places that were just meh. THEN I SAW THE COMMERCIAL FOR SONNY'S BBQ! First time going was today so I googled them. LORD HAVE MERCY! I got out the car and all you smelt was the pit! When I TELL YOU do not eat lunch because this is lunch and dinner. Brisket, pulled pork, ribs, chicken, baked beans, green beans and then some is a togo box. Sonny's saved my soul for some BBQ!! I would have given 5 star's but my server Kristy had no personality what so ever for new comers even when I told her it was our first time there. The dry rub on my food had more personality. But I shall be back because Sonny's saved my BBQ SOUL I tell ya!

We ordered Sonny’s Catering for a gender reveal party and it was delicious! The order was correct and the food was hot and fresh. The salad was cold and had both dressings we asked for. They also provided all the utensils and sauces too. The price was very reasonable and we had plenty of food for everyone as well as some leftovers. Will definitely be using Sonny’s catering again in the future.
